What We Do

We empower California legal professionals working within nonprofit legal service provider groups, as well as pro bono attorneys, towards embracing asylum cases despite their complexity and the fact they take many months, or even years, to resolve. Thus, our assistance not only improves the quality of representation, but also enhances the capacity of the legal services and pro bono bars to take on new cases by increasing their efficiency and expertise through resources, mentorship, and training. We aim for sustained capacity building through the provision of technical assistance, resource development, and in-person trainings and workshops, and through engagement in impact litigation and policy advocacy.
