The IJ granted asylum to a Mexican whom whose husband witnessed a kidnapping by gangs. The husband fled to the US and gangs threatened and gang-raped his wife while seeking his whereabouts. Shortly after the rape, she fled to the US. DHS did not appeal.

The immigration judge granted relief under the Convention Against Torture (CAT) for a Guatemalan woman who suffered domestic violence at the hands of her partner.
