CGRS staff and supporters gather at San Francisco City Hall

(March 2020) - CGRS has risen to the unprecedented challenges of the past few years by dramatically scaling up our programs and expanding our staff – we’ve more than doubled since the president took office in 2017. Click here to meet our dynamic team of dedicated advocates!

We recently promoted senior staff attorneys Christine Lin and Kate Jastram to new leadership positions as our Director of Technical Assistance and Training (Christine) and Director of Policy & Advocacy (Kate). To meet the need for increased collaboration with regional partners in Mexico and Central America, we have also promoted legal program associate Felipe Navarro Lux to a new role as our first Manager of Regional Initiatives.

In early 2020 we said farewell to our Co-Legal Director Eunice Lee, who is embarking on a new journey as a law professor at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. Blaine Bookey is continuing to lead CGRS’s legal team as Legal Director, and we recently began the hiring process for a new Litigation Director to oversee our expanding docket of high-profile impact cases.
