Tracking and Asylum Adjudication Analysis

Every time an attorney requests assistance through our online system, we enter information about the case in CGRS’s one-of-a-kind database and follow up to track the outcome of the case. With more time and more attorneys in the state accessing our technical assistance, we are creating a systematic feedback loop using the information captured in our database. By recording the government position taken in these asylum cases and tracking adjudication trends, this technology improves our ability to assist attorneys in crafting successful claims and better informs refugee policy advocacy efforts. The database currently contains over 12,000 cases, including unpublished information on the facts of the case, the adjudicator, the decision to grant or deny the asylum applicant and rationale, and case documents available nowhere else.
