Case Summary

The IJ granted asylum to a Honduran man who is gay. The applicant was harassed by others and threatened with physical violence; he was also raped and beaten by gang members who used homophobic slurs and told him he didn't deserve to live. When the applicant asked the police for help they ridiculed him. When the applicant told his father he was being harassed for his sexual orientation and the police weren't willing to protect him, his father whipped him and insulted him for being gay.
