Case Summary

The asylum office granted asylum to a Guatemalan female unaccompanied minor survivor of child and sexual abuse. Prior to fleeing her country, the applicant was physically and emotionally abused by her aunt, who was also one of her caretakers. She was also raped by her aunt’s partner.
