Felipe Navarro Lux

Manager of Regional Initiatives

As Manager of Regional Initiatives, Felipe leads CGRS’s advocacy for humane and protection-centered U.S. migration policies towards Latin America, as well as the organization’s Spanish-language public education efforts.

Prior to joining CGRS, Felipe worked as a Department of Justice accredited representative at Catholic Charities of San Francisco, where he provided direct legal services and conducted outreach and public education among the immigrant community in San Mateo County, CA. Previously, he worked at the Center for Justice and Accountability - an organization that identifies and prosecutes serious human rights criminals - supporting cases from different Latin American countries. Before migrating to the United States, he was in-house counsel for one of Colombia’s largest television networks.

Felipe received his LL.B. and a graduate degree in journalism from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and his master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Felipe has been a licensed attorney in Colombia since 2010 and is fluent in Spanish and English.
