Christine Selig

Development Director

Chris Selig is the Development Director at CGRS. Prior to joining CGRS, Chris worked as a program, research, and development consultant for non–profits, government agencies, foundations, and social impact companies. Chris holds a MA and PhD in Education from UC Berkeley. As a social scientist, Chris’ participatory research has included developing urban land use policy with the San Francisco Mission Anti-Displacement Coalition, and organizing the World Social Forum process in Venezuela, Brazil, Kenya, and the US. Chris brings a broad range and depth of social justice experience, including in women’s liberation, and the immigrant, environmental, economic, gender, and racial justice movements. In addition to her social justice work, Chris is passionate about health and is the founder of Healthy Eating San Francisco. She is also certified to train teachers to teach peer-counseling skills for United to End Racism, No Limits for Women and Sustaining All Life. Chris is a board member of the San Francisco based environmental justice organization PODER, People Organizing to Demand Environmental and Economic Rights.
