Annie focuses on strategic litigation, research, training, technical assistance, and advocacy to advance the rights of asylum seekers. Prior to joining CGRS, Annie worked as a Staff Attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where she focused on asylum petitions for review, and as an Associate at Keesal, Young & Logan. During law school, she clerked for the Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section of the United States Department of Justice and the UC Hastings' Refugee & Human Rights Clinic. Prior to law school, Annie taught elementary school in the Marshall Islands and worked in nonprofit fundraising.
