Anne Peterson

Senior Staff Attorney

Anne is a Senior Staff Attorney at CGRS. She came to CGRS after working in private practice as a Senior Immigration Attorney at the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe where she represented hundreds of asylum-seekers in removal proceedings, represented immigrants in all manner of affirmative matters, immigration court proceedings, post-conviction relief and appellate actions, while supervising and training attorneys and paralegals. Anne has litigated scores of appeals before Board of Immigration Appeals and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, including precedential case Agonafer v. Sessions, 859 F.3d 1198, 1202 (9th Cir. 2017). Anne earned her B.A. from The Evergreen State College, where she studied English and Socio-linguistics, and her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law where she was a member of the Mock Trial Team, the Moot Court Board, and the Honors Lawyering Program and was awarded the Litigation with Distinction Certificate. Prior to entering law school, Anne worked as a chef in San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington. She is admitted to practice in California, New York, and Washington State.
